Is our Economy really Economising our Existence?

Economy has made the world society a self consuming one. It’s a dangerous whirlpool which consumes everything. This is the way our economy was designed. It is called a self sustaining one, which is not true. Our economy is not economising our existence. Its consuming us.

It is neither self governing, self propelling, nor is it self sustaining. It is indeed self consuming. Its gone out of control. It cannot be rectified. It just needs to be broken down.

To feed this model economy, everything is made sellable and everything has to be purchased.

Further, our work must be only to earn money to live. Since, everything has to be bought, our passion for creativity may not earn us enough to keep us alive even to fulfil our basic needs.

This is why our schools are created. Our schools prepare us to be as our economy commands. And the school children, unaware, are sucked into this system and forced to take professional courses with the one intention of making more and more money, only to pay for their living.

Over the decades, we have only seen prices of every commodity rise. This is the proof that the economy we are supporting and feeding is self consuming. It will only rise further, meaning, we can only go one way. There is no turning back.

Barter, in India and the other countries way back in the past, was maintaining a strong economy by sharing one’s produce with the other. This way, money was not central to every form of trade. Certain commodities were available for trade and certain for money. Labour was for passion and rewards such as food, shelter, education, land, and so on.

Our ancient civilisations such as the Incas, mayans, and the Indians of the Americas, were all traders. Economies were strong and self governing. There was truth, justice, joy of living.

This is what we must turn to, if we wish a firm future for our children and our world.

Know your headache... don't pop that pill

Headache is a very common symptom we face. And it is one of the most medicated symptoms too.

Why do we have headaches? The most commonly attributed reason is - stress.

What is stress and more importantly, where is this stress?

Did you know, in your body stress can be experienced somewhere and stress can be exhibited elsewhere?

A headache need not be always to do with your head!

It may be an exhibition of some other symptom altogether.

There are five parts of your head that ache normally. They are;

  1. The frontal part which comprises of your eyes, forehead and sometimes along with the temples
  2. The eyes and the eyebrows
  3. The right and left sides of the temples or the right and left sides of the head
  4. the top of the head and
  5. The back of the head

When you are thinking about a situation wanting to navigating away from it and your belief system says its not possible, you consciously fight your own resistance, your projection. Such a situation will cause a lingering pain in your eyes, on both your eyebrows and a headache in the forehead and both temples. During such pains, it will be difficult for you to keep your eyes open. IT is commonly labeled as migraine.

When you react to a situation and this produces anger and frustration in you, your anger triggers bile secretions from the gall bladder and acid secretions in the stomach. This triggers a sharp shooting pain over your eye brows and will proceed to the top of the head. In such situations, bright ambient light will make it worse. This is also commonly labeled as migraine.

When you express a strong displeasure to something being said and you react angrily within or express it out, your gall bladder secretes more bile and your acids are also secreted in the stomach. Such a situation can trigger a nerve pain from the jaw, to the back of the ear and can land up either behind the ear or rise up to the top or sides of the head.

When you have not digested your food well, you will get a dull pain on the left eyebrow and headache typically on the left side of the head.

And, when you have chronic indigestion, you will likely have a headache on the back of your head. This is also applicable to situational indigestion. This means, a situation does not go well with you and you are not able to digest the facts of the situation, you will still have a headache on the hind side.

Treating your headache

None of the above symptoms require medicating the head.

Here are some workable suggestions.

  1. The frontal part which comprises your eyes, forehead and sometimes along with the temples
    • Close your eyes and focus on the pain in your head. It will seem to intensify.

Now you have identified the pain and have painstakingly defined the area where it is lingering. Next, separate the pain and see it on a mental screen (white or black coloured screen) and see it there instead of your head. You will see the intensity reduce and your pain will be gone in sometime.

  2. The eyes and the eyebrows and the top of the head
    • Take two wet betel leaves. Separate the leaf tips and fix them on your temples. Next, put one wet leaf under the chin and the other on top of your head. Within no time, you will feel relief and your headache will be gone.
    • You may also be required to eat your food when you are hungry and not stop abusing your body.
    • Do not eat food if you feel nauseous.
    • Due to emotional disturbances due to anger, the capillaries in the head might get compressed reducing oxygen supply to your brain. Simple deep breathing can also help reduce your headache.
    • Sleeping while lying down can be an excellent remedy.

  3. The right and left side of the temples or the right and left sides of the head
    • Here, you will need some therapy or medication. Again, the medication is not for the head, it is to flush out the excess bile and acids from the body. A laxative that flushes out excess acids and bile will be most helpful. A therapy known as ‘Marma Chikitsa’ which originated in Tamilnadu and is called ‘Varma Kalai’ is a very powerful technique to relieve your such symptoms and that too, in no time.
    • You may also be required to eat your food when you are hungry and not stop abusing your body.
    • Sleeping while lying down can be an excellent remedy

  4. The back of the head
    • This pain is usually caused due to indigestion of foods and also of thoughts. Too much of thinking produces unnecessary stress. The best remedy to get rid of this pain is to stop eating and drink adequate water (the quantity of water that makes you pass urine 6-7 times in a day) and fluids including fruit juices.
    • You may also need to monitor your sleep patterns. People who sleep excessively and are sluggish also get such headaches.
    • Drinking Jaljeera water usually helps.

  5. There’s another kind of headache which shifts from one side to the other. This kind of headache is caused due to gastritis which forms from not abstaining from foods.
    • Focus on your headache. Identify its presence. Next, as you breathe in, imagine you’re breathing in a fishing net. Encapsulate the pain and bring it out with the fishing net. Within 2 minutes, your headache should go. **This therapy has been derived from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Jyotsnatika, 5th Chapter of the book published by Kaivailyadham, Lonavala, Maharashtra.

I have found the above treatments working well with headaches.

There are other kinds of headaches which are caused due to tumours and lesions in the brain which is a rare occurrence. One must not confuse or use the above information as conclusive treatments.
